CD Raging Violence (EP)

Before the reunion by singer Katon DePena in 2000, which continues to this day, HIRAX from Los Angeles only recorded one album, two EPs and one demo. The latter showed the band was still heavily influenced by NWOBHM acts like Jaguar. The debut album “Raging Violence” (Metal Blade, 1985) is still polarizing today! It was probably one of the most extreme records of 1985, but this came at the expense of the songs and tight interplay. Although they got their start on the following EP “Hate, Fear And Power”, there was never another album. After another EP in the 7″ single format, this phase of HIRAX, which is now partly revered in a cult, was over. In 2013, four members “from the old days” recorded five HIRAX pieces with singer Rob Perkins. The demo track “Born In The Streets” also made it onto.

Cd Legendary Mists of Time & Dungeon Crawler

Double CD with banderole The epic metal high-flyers from the USA celebrated their first successes outside of the underground scene with their third album The Wizard And The Tower Keep (2019). The EP Heavy Metal Adventure, recently released on Golden Core, continues to keep the name at the top of Epic Metal fans’ lists. But the trio’s first two albums also had the quality for which Legendry are known and loved today. The problem: They were released by a label from Portugal that did not have a wide distribution and had little activity since 2018. CD Sweet Cheater Immortal Instant

SWEET CHEATER from Bremen were founded in 1983 and felt influenced by current trends such as Metal Church, Metallica, Helstar and Fates Warning as well as by the typical old heroes (Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, etc.). After a demo (partially heard on this CD), the new label called Flametrader (Demon, Savage Grace, Cancer, Siren, etc.) signed them with a record deal and the debut “Immortal Instant” was recorded at HGM Studios (Black Fate, Siren, Dissidenten, etc.).
